This unique feature will allow users to verify the history of their Aadhaar details update request. When a person changes their address, mobile phone number or email address, they can update them. This update is stored under the Update Request Number (URN) in the UIDAI database. Users can obtain their updated biometric and demographic data offline and the update transaction can be viewed online.

How to Check Aadhaar Update History Online

Aadhaar's update history can be verified online by visiting the UIDAI portal. Your mobile phone number must be registered in the UIDAI database to take advantage of this installation. You must follow these simple steps to verify the history of Aadhaar updates:

Step 1: visit the UIDAI portal
Step 2: Select the "Aadhaar update history (Beta)" in the "Aadhaar update" section

Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number or virtual ID and security code

Step 4: Select if you want to send the OTP to your registered mobile phone number or generate TOTP from the mAadhaar Application
Step 5: in case you select "Send OTP", an OTP will be sent to your mobile phone number registered in Aadhaar
Step 6: You can enter the OTP based on time generated in the mAadhaar application for authentication
Step 7: Enter the OTP / TOTP and click on the "Send" button

Step 8: A list of all update instances will be displayed on the screen regardless of updates made online / offline or in biometric / demographic data

Details Mentioned in the Aadhaar Update History

The results of the Aadhaar update history displayed on the screen contain the following details:

Date and time of verification: the date and time to verify the update history of Aadhaar are mentioned on the screen
URN: the update request number generated at the time the request is made is mentioned first. This URN is used to verify the status of the update request
Update date: the date you sent the request to update your data in Aadhaar
Type of update: biometric, demographic or new request
User photo: User photo is displayed
Demographic details: details such as name, mobile phone number, email ID, date of birth, sex and address mentioned in Aadhaar

Outstanding Features of Aadhaar Update History


  • You can also use the Aadhaar virtual ID to verify your Aadhaar update history
  • You can see when you have made changes to your Aadhaar details
  • You can verify that none of the updates you have not made are displayed. If there is such an entry, report it to UIDAI as soon as possible.
  • The person himself can access the history of Aadhaar updates from an applicant. No one else can access these details.
  • This installation is not available offline. If you visit an Aadhaar Enrollment Center in your area, the executive cannot provide these details.

Things to Keep in Mind When Checking Aadhaar Update History


  • Your mobile phone number must be linked to Aadhaar to take advantage of this installation.
  • If you have installed the mAadhaar application on your smartphone, you can enter TOTP for authentication instead of sending OTP to the mobile phone number
  • All updates made so far will be displayed on the screen.
  • You cannot download the results in any way
  • You can take a screenshot of the results and store it for future reference
