India is at the point of digitization and there are many developments in government systems towards the creation of digital India.
To achieve the goal of digitalization, data is organized efficiently through the digital process. The Aadhar card is one of the main improvement systems in the modern era. The Aadhar card is a unique 12-digit identity card, which is a combination of alphabets and numbers. The Aadhar card is provided by UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India). UIDAI is operated by the Planning Commission of India. The Aadhar card helps to store and collect people's biometric and demographic data.

To sign up for an Aadhar card, the applicant must visit the nearby Aadhar enrollment center and submit documents and details such as biometric details and a photograph. There is also an electronic version of the Aadhar card that is e-aadhar. e-Aadhar can be downloaded online by providing Aadhar Enrollment ID for residents or individuals. There is no application fee for Aadhar Enrollment.

Aadhar Enrollment form


The Enrollment form of Aadhar is free and voluntary. There are no charges for the Aadhar Enrollment form. If in case of correction, you must provide your EID (Enrollment ID), name and only the field that needs correction. The correction will be made within 96 hours after Enrollment and is free.

The Aadhar Enrollment / Correction Form includes the following details that the applicant must complete. Note that you must complete the following data only in capital letters. Details include:

1. Pre-Enrollment ID
2. Receipt number / TIN (taxpayer identification number) of the NPR (National Population Registry)
3. Full Name
4. gender
5. Age
6. Address
7. Details of the applicant's relatives
8. For based documents: Provide documents such as POI (Proof of Identity), POA (Proof of Address), DOB (Date of Birth), BY (Proof of Relationship and Residency).
9. For the presenter: Residents who do not have the required documents such as Proof of Identity (POI) or Proof of Address (POA) can request an Aadhar card through the assistance of the Presenter. A presenter is a person identified and authorized by regional offices.
10. For HOF (Householder): Provide details of your family members and the HOF EID / Aadhar number.
11. Write your name in the section where you confirm that the identity and address are true, correct and accurate.
12. The signature must be made in the Signature section of the presenter / HOF on the form.
13. The signature / fingerprint of the applicant must be made by the applicant in the signature / stroke print section of the applicant on the form.

Please note: Other details, such as the seal and signature of the verifier, the date and time of registration, will be completed only by the Enrollment Agency.

Things to Remember


Use Only Uppercase Letters

The Aadhaar Enrollment form must be completed only with capital letters only. The reason behind the use of capital letters is that they will be easy to identify, larger and less prone to stylistic difference. It will also help minimize errors made by the staff at the Aadhaar card center when entering data into the system.

Readable writing

It must be written legibly when completing the Aadhaar Enrollment Form. If in the case, the handwriting is not readable, there is a possibility of errors in the card and there may be a delay in the entire process, since the process of correcting the Aadhaar card and obtaining a valid one will take longer.

Fields on the Form


It consists of instructions that the applicant must follow to complete the 
Enrollment form. It consists of the following fields as shown below:

Name: The applicant must mention the full name
NPR (National Population Registry Survey Sheet): The resident can bring their NPR survey sheet if available.
Date of birth (Date of birth) / Age: Complete the date of birth in DDMMYYYY format (Date / Month / Year).
Address: Mention the full address of the applicant
Relationship:
1. In the case of children under 5, it is mandatory to provide the details of their parent / guardian
2. If the resident does not have a POI and is using the Identity of the Head of the Family for Registration, then it is mandatory to provide the details of the head of the family with his EID number (Enrollment ID) of Aadhar.
Documents: Provide the necessary documents such as POI, POA, POR, DOB.
Bank account: The resident can link an existing bank account to the Aadhar number.

Things to Remember When Applying for an Aadhar Card


To apply for the Aadhar card, the applicant must carry certain documents such as POI documents, POA documents, POR documents and DOB documents. The applicant must carry a list of POI, POA, POR, DOB documents for the application process of an Aadhar Card.

List of Verification Documents Required for the Aadhar Card


The applicant can enrol and obtain an Aadhar card by completing an Aadhar Enrollment form by visiting the Aadhar Enrollment Centers or the official UIDAI online portal. In the application process, the applicant must attach the necessary documents required to obtain the Aadhar Card. Verifiers on the Aadhar card will verify the documents submitted by the applicant. There is a certain list of documents that the applicant must provide as detailed below:

List of POI Documents (Proof of Identity)


An applicant can submit any of the supporting documents. It is accepted by the UIDAI. They are the following:

1. Passport
2. PAN card
3. Ration / PDS (Public Distribution System) photo card
4. Voter identification
5. Driver's license
6. Government photo identification cards / identity card with service photo issued by PSU
7. MGNREGS work card (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee)
8. Identification with photo issued by recognized educational institutions
9. Gun license
10. Photo Bank ATM card
11. Credit card with photo
12. Pensioner's photo card
13. Freedom Fighter Photo Card
14. Kissan Photo Passbook
15. CGHS (Central Government Health Plan) / ECHS (Former Military Contributory Health Plan) Photo Card
16. Address card with name and photo issued by the Post Office
17. Certificate of identification with photo issued by the official officer or Tehsildar on letterhead
18. Disability identification card / medical certificate for the disabled issued by the State / UT / respective Administrations

List of POA Documents (Proof of Address)


The applicant can submit any of these documents. They are the following:

1. Passport
2. Bank statement / passbook
3. State of account of the post office / notebook
4. Voter identification of an applicant
5. Rationing card of an applicant
6. Driver's license of an applicant
7. Government photo identification cards / identity card with service photo issued by PSU
8. Electricity bill (should not be longer than 3 months)
9. Water bill (must not be longer than 3 months)
10. Landline bill (should not be longer than 3 months)
11. Property tax receipt (must not be more than 1 year old)
12. Credit card statement (should not be longer than 3 months)
13. Insurance policy
14. A signed letter with photo issued by the company registered on letterhead
15. A letter signed with a photo of the bank on letterhead
16. NREGS work card
17. Weapons license
18. Pensioner's card
29. Kissan Passbook
20. Freedom Fighter Card
21. CGHS (Central Government Health Plan) / ECHS (Former Military Tax Health Plan) / ESIC (State Employee Insurance Corporation)
22. Certificate of address with photo issued by MP or MLA or official officer or Tehsildar on letterhead
23. Certificate of address issued by the head of Village Panchayat or its equivalent authority (for rural areas)
24. Income tax evaluation order
25. Vehicle registration certificate
26. Registered sale / lease / rental agreement
27. Address card with photo issued by the Post Office
28. Caste certificate and address with photo issued by the state government.
39. Disability identification card / medical certificate for the disabled issued by the respective State / UT
30. Gas connection bill (must not be longer than 3 months)
31. Spouse's passport
32. Passport of the parents (in the case of a minor)
33. Housing award letter issued by the central / state government. (no more than 3 years old)
34. Marriage certificate issued by the Government containing the address

List of Documents by (Relationship Test)


The applicant can submit any of these documents. They are the following:

1. PDS Card (Public Distribution System)
2. MNREGA work card
3. CGHS Medical Card (Central Government Health Plan) / ECHS (Former Military Tax Health Plan) / ESIC (Employee State Insurance Corporation)
4. Pension card
5. Army dining card
6. Birth certificate issued by the Birth Recorder, Municipal Corporation and other notified bodies of the local government such as Taluk, Tehsil, etc.
7. Any other central / state government issued a family law document. 8. Marriage certificate issued by the government.

List of DOB Documents (Date of Birth)


The applicant can submit any of these documents. They are the following

1. Birth certificate
2. Book / SSLC Certificate
3. Passport 
4. PAN Card
5. Birth date certificate issued by a Group A officer on letterhead
6. Mark the sheet issued by any government. Board or university
7. Government photo identification card / identity card with photo issued by the PSU containing DOB.
8. Central / state pension payment order
9. Photo card of the Health Services Plan of the Central Government or former military
