Individuals can apply online for instant e-PAN assignment using Aadhaar as proof of identification, date of birth and address, verify status and download at rentataxindiaefiling.gov.in

Department of Income Tax. The online application process to generate the instant e-PAN card has begun. This is a simple and hassle-free process and only requires a 12-digit biometric number of the Aadhaar card for the online application. The Aadhar number can be used as proof of identity (ID), address and date of birth (D.O.B). Instant real-time e-PAN (Beta version) allocation is available at no cost for a limited period. People (who are not minors) with a valid Aadhaar number (with an updated mobile phone number) can make use of the e-PAN assignment service. This facility is not applicable to families, businesses and undivided Indian trusts.

The facility to obtain the PAN number through the Aadhaar card is done in order of arrival. All persons who do not have a PAN card (PAN number) can apply online and also check the status.


Apply Online for the Instant E-Pan Card with the Aadhaar Card Number


This is a paperless process and the PAN applicant should not send physical documents. All the details in the e-PAN application form must match exactly the details of the Aadhaar card, as it is the only test in this process. Below is the complete procedure to complete the online application form for Instant e-PAN: -

  • Visit the official rentataxindiaefiling.gov.in website
  • On the home page, click on the "Instant e-PAN" link in the "Quick Links" section or click directly on this link
  • Read all instructions carefully and then click on the "Apply Instant e-PAN" button. Then read the guidelines and click on the "Next" button for the Aadhaar e-KYC process. "

  • Fill in all the details and upload the signature (colored with a resolution of 200 DPI, JPEG format, maximum size 10 kb and dimension - 2 * 4.5 cm)

Once Aadhar e-KYC has finished, the process to request e-PAN will begin. After the successful submission of the e-PAN application form, A 15-digit acknowledgment number will be generated and sent to the mobile phone number / email ID registered on the application form.

Prerequisites for Completing the Instant Online E-Pan Application Form

Any person must meet the following conditions before completing the Instant e-PAN Application Form: -

- Applicants who already have the PAN number should not apply for e-PAN.

- The e-PAN service is only applicable for resident individuals (except minors and others covered by the IT law of 1961).

- This installation is also not applicable to HUF, companies, trusts and companies.

Benefits of Instant E-Pan Card



Currently, applicants must complete the form and send documents to obtain the PAN card, which takes up to 15 days. Now people who want to request instant e-PAN must enter basic details such as name, address and details of aadhar.
